PYUTHAN DISTRICT
The Rural Community Infrastructure Works (RCIW) Programme was launched
in Pyuthan district in 1998/1999 with the objective of improving the access
to food and enhancing the economic condition of the people in rural area;
ultimately leading to poverty alleviation.
As in previous years, the core project relates to the
construction of rural roads. Two major roads namely, Sarebangphedi – Machhi
– Gaumukhi Road and Damti – Bahane Road were constructed in the fiscal
year 2001/2.
